A Societal Template That Works For Everybody
Pride, Competition, and Ambition Are Obstacles To Society's Welfare
The world as we know it is in a horrendous state, and while most people pretend that things will soon be back to normal, that is not the case. Listening to the legacy media may feel somewhat reassuring from time to time, but they are making things up because, in the end, it is a confidence game. The more people hope, the longer the agony will look like a blessing and preferable to a sudden economic crash.
Thunder can be heard on the horizon. Governments around the planet are juggling with spiraling debt costs, as reported by The Business Insider several days ago. Global debt has grown to $315 trillion in 2024, and banking interests are astronomical. Last year alone, the US added 1 trillion dollars in banking interests.
Resisting what will eventually happen is nonsensical. Only a reset and restarting from scratch can restore the much-needed sanity in our lives. Hopefully, not the reset envisioned by the WEF because that agenda is not designed to remedy our social dysfunctions.
Imperatively, muddling through as smoothly as possible will require us to unlearn anything we have taken for granted over the past 100 years. It's like a necessary rite of passage we cannot escape, but which will lead to birthing a new societal template that will work for everybody, and to get there,
The Me-Me-Me must become the We-We-We.
If we are not sufficiently concerned about humanity's future, we will return to the old and crippling model that engineered The Myth of Capitalism by making us believe that the debt treadmill of modern society is the best model we can get. It is up to us to move on and change everything from the bottom up and the inside out.
There is no other alternative.
Either we don't learn from our mistakes, or we do and begin to dedicate ourselves to a framework that declares basic needs a human birthright and regards 'profiting from life as a failed religion. However, this radical change requires a competition-free model to terminate the harmful concept of social success, which is also at the origin of greed, pride, narcissism, and exploitation.
Indeed, the win-win aftermath must become the new definition of success.
And that is where unlearning becomes absolutely crucial.
As it stands, the current consensus operates as social programming, which makes most feel like being negated if stripped of the right to success and personal wealth, because personal gratification and pride give existence meaning. When we dare look at our situation with integrity, the definition of "meaning" gets very flimsy.
But we cannot have the cake and eat it too.
The prevailing mindset that has shaped millennia of civilization also comes with the immoral price tag of war waged for profit, not to mention the massive exploitation schemes as the foundation of our pyramidal structure that depends on 44% of the population who cannot escape their condition and live on less than six dollars per day.
Then we have to consider that if our ancestors were once slaves, today we also sell ourselves to the highest bidders for the sake of financial security. Our wallets determine our freedom. We work for corporations that consider their employees as private goods. Indeed, if we look closer, where is the difference?
So, yes, the time for unlearning is on our doorsteps. The timing is right to finally accept to leave the “old system” behind.
We are faced with a unique solution that has never been given a chance since the materialistic society took over people's lives about 5000 years ago. The transition is about making a giant leap, and that is all we have left. How things will unfold does not matter. We must have the courage to embrace the unknown. If most minds are aligned with such intention and ready to take action, the transition will organize itself organically. The Best Souls suited for leadership will also manifest along the road and guide society through this profound transformation.
